Reince Priebus is at the head of nothing.  The GOP is no longer a real party, and it shows when they can brag that they have control of 31 state legislatures and 31 governorships can’t and won’t enact real voter ID laws.

Somebody on twitter put up this graphic and I was floored, look at all the states that are Republican-led and have extremely loose voter laws.

Now, put that up against the states whose entire legislature is Republican, and have Republican governors, hat tip, Ballotpedia– I screen-grabbed when rolling over Arkansas, the only reason that state seems high-lighted.  But if you go to the link, the map is interactive, and very helpful.  At any rate, we all know the Democrats thrive on voter fraud, so why in the hell do we allow this to happen?

The bigger threat this year is the report that 2.5 million new illegal immigrants have come to the US since Obama took office.

Now some RNC staffer is liable to whine about how many of the current restrictions are for the first time, enacted for 2016’s election.  To be fair, that’s nice to hear, except all those Republican states that have the trifecta in red in the second graphic should be purple in the first graphic.

And by the way, for years now, the GOP has hailed and praised Republicans who come from the Northeast, and this year is no different.  It’s like they want to be the Democrats so bad, they don’t give a crap about how they are undermining their own cohesiveness and future.

Obama made a joke back in 2010 or 2011 that the Republicans can come along for the ride, but they have to sit in the back.  After squandering the past 6+ years of congressional power and state power, it’s getting pretty obvious that Reince’s Party has decided a back seat is better than taking the wheel.
