Last Thursday, at the Florida debate, Romney’s response to Santorum’s Romneycare evisceration, added more insight into the legislation than most people noticed. Romney said,

“The system that we put into place in our State, was something we worked out with our labor community, the healthcare community, businesses, and the citizens of the nation. [...]

Republican Michigan Attorney General, Bill Schuette, joined with 25 other state AG’s in a lawsuit against Obamacare. That lawsuit was decided by Judge Roger Vinson of Sarasota, Florida, and stands as one of the greatest arguments toward declaring Obamacare unconstitutional. Prior to the ruling, Schuette renewed the fight initiated by former Republican AG [...]

There’s a first time for everything. Let’s see, Bachmann won in Iowa, Cain in Florida, Paul in California, and Romney in Michigan.

What does it all mean?

Nothing.

Besides, Romney is expected to win in Michigan because the Michigan Republican Party cares not about conservatism, except when they need to trot out Michele [...]

I watched Off The Record this weekend, a half-hour political talk show in Michigan, hosted by Michigan political reporter, Tim Skubic. Usually liberal and fast-paced, Off The Record deals with the downstate politics that rule the rest of us.

Part of the discussion was with Representative Al Pscholka, the new Republican representative of [...]

Since the teaparty so effectively installed Republicans in legislative offices in Lansing last November, the time has now come to find out if those legislators will take a first bold step to increase freedom in the State.

The Michigan Freedom To Work movement has spread across the state, with many proponents rallying and asking individual [...]

Dumb Comments

I took a week off from blogging, and I have a few stupid comments I’d like to share.

When people comment on my blog, it is usually positive, they say they agree with me, or, they appreciate the insight.  Sometimes they disagree and they put forth a meaningful argument and I accept those comments.  I [...]

Thad McCotter is not ready for the Presidency.

Unfortunately, Congressman McCotter insulted the American people over the weekend, in his haste to try to “bring the right together.”

“On the right, take note,” McCotter said on the House floor. “It is as unwarranted and injurious for a Republican to call a Tea Partier a hobbit as it is for a Tea Partier [...]

Michigan, Close Your Primary

We must close our primary in Michigan.  It is a falsehood to believe that open primaries are better than closed primaries.

With the elections of 2010, it is obvious that Republicans can convince the populace that our ideas are better than the Democrats.   As Republicans, how can we believe that with a majority in [...]

Government Profits From Gasoline

Within a little over a week, gas in Northern Michigan jumped 18 cents per gallon. The Obama Administration is, as usual, demonizing the oil companies and their ‘record profits.’ I did a little research and want to share with you the profits of big government per gallon of gas.

The federal excise tax on gasoline [...]
